My mum called me earlier and was saying they went to scatter my grandad’s ashes today… They got there to find another couple had got there early for their appointment and had taken my grandad’s ashes by mistake and already scattered them. It’s really one of those incidents where you have to laugh a bit or you’d just weep.
Or maybe you have to just weep. I dunno.
The funeral yesterday was strange; it was a religious service which meant I found it real hard to connect with and difficult to reconcile the words with my memories of my grandad. It was quite a nice service though. A lot of people showed up, which felt good. A lot of people loved him for sure.
I needed to get this down here for my own reflections. I’ll probably delete it later, idk.
